NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to section 19.84, Wisconsin Statutes, that:

 

note:  The following committees, commissions, and boards may take action on any or all items listed on the agendas for the meetings listed herein.

 

The County of Sawyer will conduct a public hearing regarding its proposed application for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds on Monday, February 6, 2012, beginning at 10:00 a.m.  The public is invited to attend to learn about the CDBG program, to help identify additional local housing and community development needs, and to comment on the activities proposed to be included in the CDBG application.  The agenda for the public hearing is:  Identification of total potential funds; Eligible CDBG activities, including Economic Development, Public Facilities, Housing (Rehabilitation, Homebuyer Assistance, Special Housing Projects); Presentation of identified housing and community development needs; Identification of housing and community development needs by public; Presentation of activities proposed for CDBG application, including potential residential displacement; Citizen input regarding proposed and other CDBG activities.  Residents of the County of Sawyer are encouraged to attend, especially residents with low to moderate incomes.  The meeting room is handicapped accessible.

 

The Agriculture and Extension Education Committee of the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 8:30 a.m., in the Assembly Room of the Sawyer County Courthouse.  The agenda will include: Meeting agenda; Minutes of the meeting of January 10, 2012; Audience recognition; Sawyer County Agricultural Fair Association report; Agent reports; Monthly expense vouchers; Employee travel out of the County; Other matters for discussion only.

 

The Forestry Committee of the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 9:30 a.m., in the Assembly Room of the Sawyer County Courthouse.  The agenda will include:  Meeting agenda; Minutes of the meeting of January 10, 2012; Audience recognition; Event dates, including CAMBA Festival of the Trails – May 25-27, 2012; Outdoor recreation aids resolution; Reconsideration of purchase of 80 acres within County Forest; Acquisition of abandoned railroad rights-of-way; Clean Water Act EPA silvicultural rule; County and DNR forestry reports; Monthly expense vouchers; Other matters for discussion only.

 

The Economic Development and Planning Committee of the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 1:30 p.m., in the Assembly Room of the Sawyer County Courthouse.  The agenda will include:  Meeting agenda; Minutes of the meeting of January 10, 2012; Audience recognition; Indianhead Community Action Agency report, including Community Development Block Grant housing rehabilitation project; Northwest Regional Planning Commission report; Sawyer County Economic Development Corporation report; Hayward Area Visitor and Convention Bureau report; Development of policy for expenditures from Environmental Impact Fund; Hayward DNR Forestry Nursery; Monthly expense vouchers; Other matters for discussion only.

 

Representatives (including a member or members) of the Namekagon Transportation Commission will meet with consultants on Monday, January 30, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at the site of the future Commission building that will be located on County Highway B between the Sawyer County Highway Department and the Sawyer County Fairground to view the site and to plan and discuss the construction project.  Those involved will then travel to the Assembly Room of the Sawyer County Courthouse to continue the discussion.

 

The Courthouse Committee of the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors will meet on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., in the Assembly Room of the Sawyer County Courthouse.  The agenda will include: Meeting agenda; Minutes of the meeting of January 10, 2012; Department reports, including employee travel out of Sawyer County and monthly expense vouchers; County insurance, risk management, and claims report; Other matters for discussion only.

 

The Sawyer County Zoning and Conservation Committee will meet on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at 8:30 a.m., in the Assembly Room of the Sawyer County Courthouse.  The agenda will include:  Meeting agenda; Minutes of the meeting of January 11, 2012; Audience recognition; Placid Lake diversion canal; Round Lake watershed management issues; NRCS business; DNR business; LCO business; SEH contract; Farming in residential zone districts; Vehicle bids; Septic system inventory and lake survey intern; Non-metallic mining review; Donation of land to Winter Depot Project – Friends of the Tuscobia; County work report; Monthly expense vouchers; Other matters for discussion only.

 

The Highway Committee of the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors will meet on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., in the meeting room of the Sawyer County Highway Department office located approximately 2 miles east of the City of Hayward on County Highway B.  The agenda will include:  Meeting agenda; Minutes of the meeting of January 11, 2012; Audience recognition; Tuscobia Trail ATV Association request to open portion of County Highway W from Price Dam Road to Lake Winter Road for ATV travel; Discuss and approve renewal of existing ATV routes; Highway Department financial reports; Highway Commissioner’s report, including review applications for part-time truck driver pool and right-of-way purchase for County Highway T and County Highway E projects; Employee travel out of the County; Monthly expense vouchers; Other matters for discussion only.
